When My Child Started Babysitting: Using Data Backup and Recovery Software to Keep Her Safe

Like many teenagers, my daughter decided to get into babysitting in order to earn some extra pocket money. When my wife was young, she babysat too. Still, it didn’t stop my wife and I from worrying about whether or not we could keep our daughter safe. After all, the world isn’t always a safe place and I still have to worry about whether or not my daughter can return home safely or if she can navigate things like bogus job offers or sketchy situations.

That’s why I’m glad we installed data backup and recovery software on her phone a while back. Now when my daughter babysits, my wife and I no longer have to shake and worry that our daughter won’t be able to make it home safely. She can babysit and become an independent young adult all while we still have the ability to keep an eye on her. Here’s why I’m glad we discovered backup and recovery software.

The Rules of the Road (or So to Speak)

But along with data backup and recovery software like DDI Utilities software, we also made sure to teach our daughter some basic safety tips.

One, we told her never to take a job offer unless she let us know about it first. This would give us time to talk to the parents of the kids she was supposed to babysit and figure out if it was a good situation for her to consider. While most of the kids she babysit were the children of someone of our coworkers and friends, she was always getting referrals to other parents to watch their kids and we didn’t always know these other parents personally. The same went for our neighbors. We live in a big neighborhood and while we’re close to many of our neighbors, we don’t know everyone.

Since she’s only thirteen, the other rule is that our daughter needs to constantly have her phone on her. While she needs to focus on the kids she’s actually babysitting, we want to make sure she has an easy way to get in touch with the parents she’s babysitting for and with us.

That’s where backup and recovery software comes in handy. Here’s why and what we use it for.

Why Data Backup and Recovery Software is Awesome

Cell phone data backup and recovery software sometimes gets a bad rep. But when you think about it, data recovery software can be a big help when you’ve got a kid you’re trying to keep safe. We use many of the features seen on DDI Utilities reviews pretty frequently, including GPS location features and text monitoring.

For example, if she gets a job offer from a number we don’t recognize, we can pull up the text, find the number, and look it up. If she’s late getting home from a job, we can find her GPS location and find out if she’s able to get home safely.

All these have come in handy numerous times in the past. For example, our daughter got accosted by a parent supposedly looking for her to babysit his kids. After we looked up his number and did our homework, we discovered that not only did he not have kids but he was a convicted felon.

The DDI Utilities reviews help parents get to the bottom of potentially dangerous situations before it’s too late. And for that, I’ll always recommend it to parents who ever have reason to be worried about what their kids are getting up to. Your children can be safe. DDI Utilities data backup and recovery software is your key to protecting your kids, no matter what.
