I don’t have kids, I don’t own a business, and I’m just a single guy living on my own in Wisconsin. So why the heck would I ever need to buy data backup and recovery software? Since I don’t have to look after anybody, you’d think there’s really no good reason for me to buy the software and download it.
As it so happens, I actually bought data backup and recovery software for one reason and one reason only: to protect my own phone. And here’s why I installed software to backup and recover my data on my very own phone.
Keeping My Phone Safe
If you really think about it, our cell phones are just extensions of ourselves. We’ve got photos, our social media accounts, texts, and records of virtually everything we’ve ever seen and done with the phone handy. While no one really likes to admit it, we probably spend at least a couple hours a day on our phone. Our phones are boredom busters, our access to the Internet, a way to easily communicate with our friends, family, and whoever we need to get in touch with.
Add in the fact that cell phones, and a cell plan, certainly aren’t cheap and you know as well as any other phone owner that it’s an investment that we all need to protect.
I back up my phone every other couple weeks. I’ve got insurance on it. Find My Phone is enabled. But even then, I still wanted to have an easy way to track my phone and back up my information if needed. What can I say? I care about my phone.
How Data Backup and Recovery Software Helps Me
Data backup and recovery software isn’t just spyware. As it turns out, backup and recovery software, like DDI Utilities, can really be a helpful tool to keep tabs on your phone.
Say, god forbid, I lost my phone while out and about. Before I installed the software, that would be plenty of reason to panic. How would I ever find my phone again? What do I do next? But as it turns out, I really don’t have to panic anymore.
DDI Utilities reviews has a lot of information about handy things it does and one of my favorite features has to be GPS location. If I lose my phone, all I need to do is hop online and log into my backup software account. Then I can pull up my phone’s GPS location. Once I see where my phone is, I can either locate it or call authorities.
Now should someone steal my phone, DDI Utilities software lets me do a variety of handy things, including remotely shutting off access to my phone. I can even use my phone’s camera as a pair of eyes and see where my phone is and who has it, making it easy for authorities to locate my phone and so I can press charges. And by remotely shutting off access to my phone, I can make sure that whoever steals my phone really can’t do anything with it.
But that’s not all. I can even use the data backup and recovery software to save and backup my old texts, Facebook messages and more- even if I’ve personally deleted that stuff.
All in all, I couldn’t be happier with DDI Utilities. It really has saved my phone and my sanity. While I haven’t lost my phone yet, I know that losing my phone won’t be a life or death situation. With GPS location and the ability to remotely shut off access to my phone, my phone can be easily located and protected. Data backup and recovery software isn’t just for recovering your kids or your employees text messages anymore. It can be a fantastic personal security solution too.
