My wife and I have recently been thinking about starting
a family but we weren’t sure if we were ready to handle it just yet. We know we
wanted to take that first step, but were both just so young and this is a big
decision so you can’t blame us for being kind of nervous when it comes to the
idea. Instead, my wife suggested it might be better to get a dog and see how we
manage taking care of the dog before we go and have a kid. Apparently Rachel Ray suggested it to a couple that
was on the show earlier this week. I wasn’t sure if a dog would be good enough
practice for a baby but I agreed anyway because who doesn’t love dogs, right?
The next morning, we went to get a dog at a local animal shelter.
We definitely scored the cutest puppy there (of course in my opinion). We picked up a golden retriever and decided to name him Chop. That’s when we realized
we didn’t go shopping for a dog and had no supplies. We headed to the local pet
store and got everything we needed for Chop. As soon as we got home he was
running all over the house exploring and sniffing everything he could. After a
long day of excitement, I guess he must’ve been tired because when we got ready
to go to bed he was already on the floor, stretched out and passed out. He woke up,
followed us into the bedroom and just sat there staring at us. We bought him a
doggie bed of his own, but he kept crying at the end of our bed so we decided to let him sleep
with us tonight.
Boy was that a mistake! We
completely forgot about the teething that puppies do when their adult teeth
start coming in. I made the mistake of leaving my phone in the bed with us
while we slept and when I woke up in the middle of the night and went to look
for my phone, it wasn’t there and neither was Chop. I was so tired I didn’t
think anything of it and just got up to use the bathroom.
That’s
when I saw Chop, sitting right in the hallway chewing on something. Out of all
the things to teeth on of course it had to be my cell phone. Just my luck! I
ran towards him and he ran from me leaving the phone behind. It was
covered in slobber and had bites mark all over, and my screen was completely
blacked out. I was furious about my phone but at least Chop didn’t cut his
mouth on the glass or swallow any of the wires inside. I couldn't get my phone to come back at all. It was gone. Everything was gone!
That’s when I remembered that I had recently backed my
cell phone up using DDI Utilities data backup and recovery app. My cell phone
is a big part of my job and I needed all the data on my phone. I need it constantly to communicate with my clients and be able to look up all of my emails quickly.
If it were not for the DDI data backup app and its powerful features like data extraction and
recovery capabilities, I don’t know what I would do. I purchased a new phone
the next day and was able to easily put everything I lost onto my new phone. The backup and recovery app made it so easy for me to get all of my data back and get my phone back to exactly the way I needed it to be.
Now Chop sleeps in his doggy bed out of reach of my phone and all other electronics for that matter.
